Thermovent T2 is a sterile, single-use heat and moisture exchanger that provides effective humidification for spontaneously breathing patients whose upper airways are bypassed by a tracheal or tracheostomy tube.
These devices are used to:
- Treat adult or paediatric patients with a tidal volume of more than 70 mL
- Reduce heat loss through the bronchopulmonary tree
- Help to prevent thickened secretions and changes in lung function
- Supply additional oxygen when required
- Facilitate the removal of secretions
- Preserve humidity and minimise damage to tracheal epithelial cells
